IGNOU Topper's talk is a one-stop solution to your IGNOU course related doubts, queries and preparation strategies. In this platform, IGNOU University Gold medalists and other IGNOU achievers will share their subject-wise strategies, insights, books, tips and their overall experience which helped them achieve this incredible feat. 

Who can get featured in IGNOU Topper's talk ? 

1-   IGNOU Toppers- IGNOU University Gold Medalists in any course.

2- IGNOU Achievers- IGNOU pass outs who cleared various coveted competitive examinations after completing & using a particular IGNOU course (For e.g. UPSC, State PSCs, NET, CAT... and many more) or those pass outs who landed jobs in esteemed private organizations.

How many IGNOU courses will be covered in topper's talk? 

The aim of Topper's talk is to reach out to pass out students who secured IGNOU University Gold medal in any course. It will act as a combined repository of the vast knowledge, insights and experiences of all the toppers which will be valuable and indispensable for every current & prospective student of IGNOU.

Will this cover which books to refer for a particular IGNOU course?

This will cover almost all the doubts of the students. If any of the doubts are not covered, you can always raise your queries in this dedicated Facebook group which already have many toppers. Don't look at it just as a source of reference books. You must focus on their experiences, course-wise tips for IGNOU assignments & term end examination, and all the nitty-gritties shared by the toppers especially for people like you. 

It took a lot of time and effort of the toppers to pen down their experience and they have all done it for you. So, you must appreciate and be thankful to them.

I can't find IGNOU topper's talk for my course. What should I do?

You can comment below with your course name or drop a mail on ravipatni2008@gmail.com. You can also join this dedicated Facebook group for resolving your doubts. Based on comments and mails from the students, I will try to prioritize the topper's talk in courses with maximum demand. 

As this is a continuous process and I am trying my level best to reach University gold medalist of your course, topper's talk in your course will be available at the earliest. 

What can I do to make sure that topper's talk for my course is available at the earliest?

You can use the power of social media and share this post as much as possible in all the IGNOU groups and across social media platforms (like Facebook, Twitter, Quora, Snapchat, telegram, etc) which you have access to. Share it to your social media account timelines and stories. In this way, sooner or later, your subject topper will see this initiative and you may get their valuable insights in the topper's talk.

IGNOU Gold Medal Criteria

The gold medalists in IGNOU are identified based on the recommendations of a Committee constituted by the Competent Authority for the purpose. IGNOU University Gold Medal  is given to the respective course topper(s) who fulfills all of the following criteria :- (1) The students should have completed the programme within minimum duration.  For Eg: The minimum duration to complete M.A. Programme is 2 years. (2) The student should have secured highest aggregate marks in the programme. (3) The student should not have repeated any of the courses in the programme. (4) The student should not have been booked under un-fair means during the course of study. (5) The student should have secured first division in the programme. (6) There should be a minimum of 10 qualified and eligible students in the programme. (7) Any other terms and conditions prescribed by the Committee from time to time. How to Calculate Final marks in IGNOU

Calculate Final marks, Division and Grades in IGNOU For calculation of final marks in a course, assignment carry 30% weightage while 70% weightage is given to the marks obtained in the Term End Examination (TEE). 1- For courses in which maximum marks in Term End Examination (TEE) and assignments = 100, you can use the following method. However, it should be used only when marks indicated in the IGNOU grade card are out of 100.       Let us take different examples to understand the exact procedure:- When Maximum Marks = 100 Calculation of Assignment Marks Calculation of TEE Marks Final marks in the course out of 100 Marks obtained in Assignment out of 100 Assignment Marks according to 30% weightage i.e.  (Column-a) * 0.3 Marks obtained in TEE out of 100 TEE Marks according to 70% weightage i.e.  (Column-c) * 0.7 Final marks = (Assignment Marks in Column-b + TEE Marks in Column-d)
