4.

There was no need

IGNOU M.A. English (MEG) Term End Examination (TEE)

 Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

1.
Did you strictly follow the word limit in the TEE? (Yes/Not exactly)
Yes
2.
On average, how many pages per answer did you write? (3,4, 5…)
For 20 marks 4-5 sides only. If you write more than that the checker is likely to get tired and not read your answers properly.
3.
You wrote the TEE answers in blue pen or black dot/pilot pen or both?
Blue pen only
4.
Is it easy to complete all the TEE answers in the prescribed time-limit? (Yes/No).
Yes, for literature however you’ll have to do a bit of time management as they are lengthy.
5.
Did you draw any diagrams, mindmaps, etc. in any paper? (Yes/No).
In literature never!
6.
For how many hours/days did you study for the TEE?
I read on a daily basis at my own pace which is actually very low, two hours every day but I started way too early. I didn’t wait for the date sheet to come out and didn’t study at all before exams (not bragging). Regular reading will help more than cramming stuff a day before the exam.
7.
How did you prepare for TEE? Did you make comprehensive subject-wise notes? Please give details.
Again I was a regular reader.
I read on a daily basis at my own pace which is actually very low, two hours every day but I started way too early. I didn’t wait for the date sheet to come out and didn’t study at all before exams (not bragging). Regular reading will help more than cramming stuff a day before the exam.
8.
Is the format of asking questions in TEE needs a relook? Is TEE able to test the subject knowledge and analytical skills well? Suggest enriching ideas.
No need to overlook the pattern. It is quite good. If you work hard and prepare properly.
9.
Did you apply for obtaining a photocopy of answer scripts? (Yes/No)
no
10.
Did you apply for re-evaluation in any subject? (Yes/No). If Yes, please mention the subject to the best of your memory.
There was no need.
11.
Did your marks increase after the re-evaluation? (Yes/No)
NA
12.
Any other reforms in TEE which you think are pertinent? Please give details.
Term-end examinations are designed by experts and I like the pattern.
13.
Did you take help from IGNOU guide books? (Yes/No) If yes, please mention the books.
No. no examiner prefer answers from guide although you will pass if you read from them but are not likely to score well.

Please provide your special tips due to which you secured high marks in IGNOU MEG Term End Examinations (TEE):-

Answer:
I really have no special tips. I was dedicated and wanted to score a distinction which I got eventually along with the Medal. I am passionate about literature and that helped.

Other Frequently asked questions (FAQ) :-

1.  Did your course have a practical/Internship/project component? If yes, please provide complete details as students have a lot of questions and issues in this section.

       Answer:  No

2.     Apart from IGNOU text books, which book would you recommend for the students to get crystal clear concepts & maximum marks in this course?

Answer:  Well all the suggestive list of books is included in the study material.

3.      What was your motivation for joining this particular IGNOU course?

Answer: Passion for literature

4.      Did this course help you in your job or getting a job? Please explain how.

Answer: A big yes! I secured a guest faculty position in IP University.

5.      What are your suggestions for the freshers who are joining this course?

Answer: Read the text. Read the study material. Read the original novel, drama, poetry, etc. I think the major problem with students who join this course is that they are habitual to read summaries from the internet and that’s it.

You are in a masters level course you will anyhow need to read the entire original novel, drama, et cetra. Reading summaries from the internet won’t help you pass or even guides.

Do's & Dont's from the first to last day in college

"The only permanent thing in this world is change" From the cosy comfort of your house to bunking up with strangers in a hostel room is one of the most adventurous yet uneasy feeling in the world. If you are amongst a lucky few whose parents came to drop you in college, to help you get settled in hostel by buying various day to day hostel amenities like cots, bed sheets, pillow, bucket, soaps, hangers etc., consider yourself extremely lucky if they don't get overwhelmed while leaving you behind just to ensure that you don't get weak in your commitments.  But if they are not able to control their emotions and give you that blissful teary Good-Bye hug, don't look down upon them, don't get embarrassed that so many guys/girls/faculties are watching, Embrace them, tightly, like you have never done before. And trust me when I say this, the walk from the place where your parents left to your hostel/class, will be the longest walk you will eve...
